2026 Youth Tackle Football

General Information for Parents

3rd-5th grade students must attend Williamston Public Schools (or reside in the district).
7th-8th grade must be a Williamston Community Member.
Jerseys are included with registration unless you plan to use your jersey from last year ($45 discount).
Please review the jersey size chart before registering.
There is a limited number of scholarships available. Please contact [email protected] to inquire about scholarship opportunities BEFORE registering your athlete. Families & loved ones of scholarship recipients will be asked to kindly donate their time to our various volunteer opportunities. The deadline to request a scholarship is July 17th, 2026.

Age Divisions:

Players are divided into teams by grade (teams may split into multiple teams depending on the number of registrations)

Freshman Division: 3rd/4th Grade
Junior Varsity Division: 5th/6th Grade
Varsity Division: 7th/8th Grade. *Note that 7th/8th grade will play in the CAAC League, which plays games on Wednesday nights.*

Required Equipment:

Certified white helmet*
Shoulder Pads*
Black game pants
Mouth guard (colored with a strap, not clear or white)
A separate pair of practice pants is recommended
Practice jersey
Cleats (soft rubber)
Green & pink socks, which are provided

*We have a stock of helmets and shoulder pads that are available for loan at NO cost. You are asked to write a check for a deposit ($50 each, $100 for both), and the check will be shredded when the equipment is returned- it will NOT be cashed. We will send out additional announcements for loaner equipment pickup times. Loaner equipment and sizes are provided with the best effort and are not guaranteed.

Practices and Important Dates:

Players will be contacted by their coach 1-2 weeks before the first practice.
Practice will take place behind the middle school for 3rd-6th Grade.
The 7th-8th graders will practice at the field across from the high school.
3rd - 6th Grade: First week of practice is "conditioning week" (helmets only, no-pads), tentatively starting August 17th - Monday through Friday, 6 to 8pm.
7th & 8th Grade: First week of practice is "conditioning week" (helmets only, no-pads), tentatively starting August 17th - Monday through Friday, 6 to 8pm.
"Weigh-in Night" - August 25th at 6:30pm at Stockbridge HS. This is required for players who intend to or might run the ball on offense. Your coach will provide more info.
No practice Labor Day weekend (9/04 or 9/7).
3rd - 6th grade will play their games on Sundays, starting September 13th.
7th/8th grade games are played on Wednesday evenings, starting September 16th. Kick off is at 4:30pm for 7th grade.
Physical Forms are required and due by the first practice.
Sizing Chart for tackle jerseys. These are real tackle jerseys. They will fit big in the shoulders, as they go over pads.

2026 Flag Football

Program Information

Flag football will be played through the Meridian Parks & Recreation league.
Teams will be 5 on 5 coed format allowing fun scoring opportunities for everyone.
Practices will start in late August, twice a week. Coaches will provide specific practice schedules when available.
Games will be on Sunday afternoons starting mid-September and will vary between 1:00pm - 4:30pm.
Mouth guards must be worn. Rubber cleats are recommended (metal cleats are not allowed).
Looking for coaches. If interested, please fill out the information during registration.
Registration cost includes a jersey.
